Why Candles?

You may wonder why a leather goods company would venture into candles. It’s simple: our goal is to create products that enrich our customers’ lives, connecting them to a lifestyle of quality, beauty, and impact. While in the past, this has mainly focused on leather goods (and trust us, those aren’t going anywhere) candles are a fun addition to our collection. We believe that, just like a handcrafted leather item, a candle is a versatile, thoughtful product for gifting or just for you to enjoy!

Ethically Crafted Candle Collection in Partnership with Prosperity Candle

At the heart of this collection is our collaboration with Prosperity Candle. Known for their incredible work empowering women artisans and refugees, Prosperity Candle’s mission is one we can get behind here at Elevate.

They create dignified opportunities for women who have endured hardship and displacement, enabling them to build sustainable livelihoods through the art of candle making. This partnership means that each candle we bring to you is crafted with care and skill, along with being a testament to an individual’s resilience.

Prosperity Candle’s Story

Prosperity launched in 2010 with a project in Baghdad empowering a group of 50 war widows to make candles for local and international markets. Since then, Prosperity Candle has helped create a women’s artisan cooperative in Haiti as well as partnering with organizations to deliver medical aid, shelter, and food to families across the globe. Every purchase supports these critical programs and provides living wages for the artisans in question, whether they are currently located in their US base in Massachusetts or other locations worldwide.

We’re proud to support the women artisans at Prosperity Candle, knowing that each scented candle purchased is a step toward building a brighter future for them and their families. With every candle in the Elevate collection, you’re supporting a brand that values ethical craftsmanship, purpose-driven impact, and the creation of long-lasting change.
